Just curious--who uses Max here? What sort of things do you do with it?
Fledz
I'm saving up for it. Going to use it with my APC40 with custom programs.
As for more production related uses, I'm sure I'll find some good ones.

I've tried it, I don't really have time for it. If there were more pre built things I wanted to modify I'd use it as much as I use reaktor, but I learn best from observing others and there's little opportunity for that in MAX IME.

nice. does it work in the same way that the launchpad works as a monome emulator (the 'nonome')?

yeah, it's the sort of thing that you sort of need a purpose for you to learn it properly...i tried to learn it a couple years ago just for the sake of it, and it didn't happen. took a course in it at uni though, and that's obviously presented deadlines to meet, which has made all the difference. really worth getting into, if you can find the motivation.

Yeah. I think because I have reaktor I just sort of lack the motivation.

If I get a new controller for ableton, then I'll probably be motivated again at a guess.

It can, yes. With Max4Live, anything is possible really.

There are good examples of what M4L does on here:

i've got M4L! it's great wrapping up some of my patches into essentially plugins... have you explored stretta's development work? he makes superb patches for use with the monome/arc...which obviously work with any monome emulators
