Below is the message posted by me on our NS2K forum, announcing the winners of the : Travel the World in Ten Minutes remix contest, hosted by Airwave Pres Lolo/ Bonzai & Nonstop2k.
Hello Nonstop2kers!
This is the moment that we have all been waiting dearly for. For over 1 month now, we have visited the contest forums, in search not of Sunrise remix but in search of the winning remixes for the March 2011 Nonstop2k-Bonzai union remix contest.
...The time has finally come.
First I feel that we owe you an apology for the time it has taken to obtain the list of winners. Bonzai, head label, is as you know a huge label, operating on a global scale. Their bandwidth is extremely busy to say the least. Finally, the results are in!
Nonstop2k wishes to thank Bonzai/GreenMartian/subsequent Bonzai sub labels for this great opportunity! The remixes were off the hook! My two favorite remixes were the Moe Shafiq mix and the Electro V mix, but basically all remixes had something special trust me.
And now, announcing the winners of the most anticipated and exciting remix contest of Nonstop2k existance...

As stated in earlier topic postings, none of the tracks qualified for a Green Martian release, so Bonzai will be releasing the EP remixes on another label, potentially Subtraxx or another Trance oriented one. There is a chance 1 or 2 more remixes get released as part of the EP, that will depend on the A&R team. (rooting for Electro V baby )
I need Evoalmo and Moe Shafiq remix recipients to send me their wav asap. If you have any questions, let me know.
There may be some direction giving to tweak some of the mixes, that will also depend on the A&R team.
I would like to thank all the participants who are all winners in my books. It feels good to host such a contest with such strong kung-fu power! Remember how long it took for the results to come in? Yes they are busy, but I happen to know the deliberations took a chunk of that time. Great job everyone! If an awesome legendary label such as Bonzai is interested in hosting a contest with us, that tells me the Nonstop2k community is growing both in numbers and in experience. We are not to be messed with! Now a personal note, I had absolutely no say in the results. I am once again humbled and honored my mix was chosen as one of the top 3. All I can say is OMG
I encourage all of you to pay close attention to Moe Shafiq, who was one of the winners from the Soviet Recordings contest as well. Big things are heading his way! Have a nice listen to his remix. It's both clean and powerful. Love it. Love all you guys! |
