Hello guys! has been a long time since I'm not here.
After some years I thought that this might be useful for the starters.
I never uploaded it to anywhere because I thought "this is amateur, it's useless".
But now I think, this can be useful since I learn a lot doing it.
This is a very old remake of the beautiful song made by Rank 1 - Many Miles too soon (or such is life). I made this in 2005/2006 using Ronald JP 8000 and FLStudio. At the time I tried to recreate every sound in that beautiful song to learn producing.
Also, what do you think of sharing work? I've a lot of WIPs that I think now that the only point is to share and (hope) help starters. Worth it? or is better to an amateur do things for themselves? (from learning standing point).

Loads of people ask for example projects, so I think it's a good idea.
If you make it available, people can decide whether or not to use it.
Of course I'd stress to any new producers reading this that it's incredibly important to try writing your own tunes from scratch ;) but if someone literally hasn't got a clue where to start, it could help.
Most DAWs come with example projects anyway, but one which might be a bit more suited to the kind of music they want to make could be very helpful. |

project files are always helpful especially for beginners, so it's really a great way for people to learn. It's awesome to share with other people^^
I also like your remake. Only thing I can critise is in the breakdown at around minute 4 the percussion is trying to simulate a ticking clock, right? I think after a few bars you should have added more hats or other rhythmical elements to make the buildup more dramatic as you don't focus on every beat anymore but do practically double tempo. The Snare roll could have come a bit earlier. And what the hell is the last part :stongue: |
