Legendary house producer, known by many as the enigmatic and mysterious Moodymann aka Kenny Dixon Jr., has created out quite a folowing for himself over the past 15 years, sampling the likes of jazz, disco, funk, and soul and looping it up to create some of the best deep house tracks ever made.
He barely plays out, and is barely seen DJ-ing or touring. Instead, he is, among the old-school Detroit DJs, a rare Producer whose tracks from yesteryears, and those newly created, are still relevant and enjoyed by thousands. In fact, he is still in the RA Top 100 for DJs in 2010, an accomplishment considering the trends of changing musical taste.
Only shows talent shines, whatever happens. And this talent will shine under the stars at The Standard Rooftop for the launch of Moonlight Sundays, and evening pool party like no other. Be there or just like Mr. Snuffleupagus, he could just vanish in the wind and never be seen or heard again.
