SERIOUS FTP Question????????

| if you delete something while on someones FTP site...does it delete it from that persons computer?>?????????.....i accidentley deleted an importnat file off my friends FTP,,,,i HOPE that it doesnt mean i deleted it off his computer....please tell me i am wrong and he still has the file.....cus when i look on his FTP the file i deleted is nolonger there...hes going to KILL me....so am i right or wrong???????:nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: |

depends on what the location of the FTP is. Is it a FTP connected to his PC, then he will beat the out of you.
is it a FTP to another server/pc for example at school/work he will still kick your ass but maybe he's got a backup on his own pc.

yeah, your toast man, you deleted his file.
although, the fault is partly his too. you can set it up to not allow people to delete files. if he knew someone as dumb as you would be using it, he is stupid to allow deletes. |

depends on what kinda options he uses on his ftp server..
if he have checked the "delete to bin" option, you only deleted it to his trashbin.. and he still got it (but this option is usually checked as a standard)
otherwise, you deleted the file completly.. and he will probably be antry at you |
