I think it's around $40... I'd recommend just asking people in the airport that look like techno freaks to share a cab, I'm sure you'll get someone to share the expense with ;) I did this like a month ago when I went to NOLA for Jazz Fest, went to the cab stand and asked who was going to the French Quarter and shared a cab with a lovely couple in their 50's that looked like hippies :cool: You'll always be able to find people to do this with when you're going to a huge festival. |

Ok guys, since nobody voiced their opinion except for Caroline, the meetups will be as followed:
Saturday:
7 pm during Heartthrob @ Beatport (I'm making this one late enough for all the nutjobs driving and arriving late in the afternoon ;))
Sunday:
6 pm during Margaret Dygas @ Vitamin Water Stage (since I'm pretty sure EVERYONE will be at that stage for Ricardo after)
Monday:
5 pm during Three @ Beatport
The meetup point at the Beatport Stage will be that big tree, impossible to miss it ;) Will think about a meetup point at the Vitamin Water stage for Sunday once I get there tomorrow and see how it is and post it tomorrow afternoon.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know! :) |

heard about Slows... pretty cool... hope its food and not just their selection of beer...
as for a cab... negotiate a rate downtown before leaving... spend around $40-50... |

Visionquest sans the 3rd degree sunburns on my neck, and that bad Karaoke rendition at the beginning of the party :nervous:
Mandy & Tiefschwartz were bonkers at Get Physical though. Papa Sven killed it as well at the Festival.
TV Bar was my highlight of the festival, and also the characters that come out of the wood works for DEMF/Old Miami.
Good seeing you Melly, were you in Tyas' documentary?:stongue: |

Hey folks. Sorry I didn't meet up with anybody. I swear I was at the Beatport tree at 7pm. And then I looked around and realized there were several trees. I personally have a "tree," but wasn't sure if it was same that Chaska suggested.
Sven Vath and James Zabiela were my personal favorites. How about Vath's video? My boyfriend was like, "WTF," but I thought it was perfect as he's an impressario.
I stayed in the hotel and skipped the afterparties. Go ahead and stone me. I chose sex and snuggling over techno. ;) I gave my boat tickets away to a girlfriend, who wanted the music more than me.
I went to Old Miami & hit Slow's afterward. My boyfriend found a James Howard Kunstler podcast, which was a tour of Detroit. We walked the miles back to the hotel in the blazing sun listening to the podcast. It was really fun because he talked about things we knew about including Mariner Church and the Ren Cen.
It was a really good weekend. Hope more people post stories. I want to know what I missed. |
