I've been thinking about this for a while, 1St I was looking at buying external mixer something like behringer's new series but this means I need a massive or couple of soundcards to output to 20+ channels.
So I'm settling for midi controller to control the channels, is there any such thing out there, I already got the APC40 but its light on number of channels, there is the UC33 which seems great, it has 3 knobs for each channel which I could map to eq per channel and 9 sliders, I could use several units to control more ...
I use ableton btw... |

so Mackie is out of question, Behringer seems fine but only one nob per channel, meanwhile UC33 seems to be the favourite |

There was an Maudio mixer with like 16 I think, but you'll be looking at banking your channels if you want 20, or buying a large ($10 000 +) desk. |

Or make one yourself with an Arduino and solder some motorized faders into it :D. Then of course you need some tool to translate the arduino input to proper midi signals. :toothless
If I had the money and the time I'd make one myself for sure. It's not that hard really...
Euphonix MC Mix would probably be the best option otherwise. Would love to own a few myself. Those things are so pretty haha |

the Euphonix looks dope but cost alot same price i can get the MCU Pro, this thing looks like what am looking for, and i can attach another unit called extender to get double the faders |
