Buying shares in soundcloud

I like to dabble in investment and was wondering if anyone knew whether it is possible to buy shares in SC as I have a feeling it may prove to be a juicy capital returner. Noticed Microsoft bought Skype for $5bn this week and I would imagine that was once a very small player hungry for small investors.
I only use the cloud now and don't bother putting demos anywhere else as it's so easy and user freindly and this I think will ensure it's sucess.
Anyway I am about to contact SC myself re this and will report back anything useful.
Boring sh1t eh! |

I would actually be keen to invest in them too, though I think they won't list the company and will just wait for a takeover.
Let me know what you find out. |

| i think it might be possible but it won't be a small investment i would imagine SC would require a certain minimum amount like 10/20 k for shares. Also this investment will be highly illiquid in case you want to liquidate it. |

soundcloud is not issuing any kind of IPO and they already have raised over 2.5 mil from just one VC firm. Been following their business model for a bit for something i'm personally working on. You can read more on the VC here:

| Interesting concept, but i have the impression that they've already reached saturation in the market. Also, they're at serious risk of being DESTROYED by any larger social media site who starts to muscle in on their territory, and at greater risk of DJs leaving the site due to time restrictions on tracks... Not gunning for growth IMO. |
