Shocked that I am the first to post this, so looking forward to seeing
Markus tear up the Marquee. Perfect start for an awesome MDW.

Yep, Markus tore it up!
Softer and more lyrical than the last show I saw of his in Miami at Space. Still playing lots of Prague tracks. Came on at 2:30, played till 5+. Nice to see club thin out of the last 90 minutes of the set, plenty of dance room. Should have tracklisted, would have been easy.
Sound and lights at Marquee awesome. Getting into the club, nightmare!!! Hey Cosmo, there has to be an easier way. 3 escalators, one elevation, 4 lines and 2 seperate hand stamps.
See you in a few weeks in NYC Markus, extended set I hope!
PS- Supprised to see I the only one commmenting, the NY TA forum will be 15 pages long after his show. Must be a Vegas MDW thing. IDK |

i was surprised too that there wasnt an event for this, probably since its because of mdw.
i was looking at videos online(didn't go to the event), he definitely catered to the casual las vegas mdw crowd, a lot of vocals and i was surpised to see he played kaskade - dynasty.
for this reason i dont like to see dj's i like during long weekends since they play a diff set.
give me a 6 hr club set anytime :) |

You don't usually see many reports out of Vegas. remember, what happens in vegas stays in vegas!
As for other shows, people out here like to party on the weekends and not hover around TA as much. Many times, you won't get reports of even big nights until Monday, maybe even Tuesday on any given week. |

It's interesting that you say this because I just read Markus' blog post today and he commented about the amount of vocals he played at this gig.
"I took over at 2:30 and tried my best to transition the flow out of Roger and into me, by going a little more vocal-heavy than I normally would at the beginning of the night."
Overall I didn't think the mood of the set was that much different than usual at all, but I definitely appreciate a set with a few vocal tracks as opposed to one with 0. :) I've seen him live ~23 times so I'm probably a bit biased, though. ;) He has never let me down - perhaps I'm just too easily entertained.
I took a couple of friends who had never seen him live (and one had never even heard of him!) and Markus won them both over 10-times over, so he pleased the newcomers and die-hards alike. I'm looking forward to seeing him again at RS and then again at Space in Ibiza next month!
p.s. he used one of my photos in his blog! that was a surprise to wake up to! |
