The departure point has changed– boats are no longer leaving Pier 11, but instead from the Battery Maritime Building.

DIRECTIONS:

The Battery Maritime Building is located at 10 South Street in downtown Manhattan, adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry. Take the Governors Island ferry - free with your ticket. You're there!

Getting to Governors Island is just a quick, 5-minute boat ride away. The event will be accessible via New York Water Taxi. The Water Taxi's will leave every hour from The Battery Maritime Building. Additional pickup locations may be added. The closest subway stations are: 1 at South Ferry, 4, 5 at Bowling Green and R at Whitehall St. Station. Various city bus lines also service The Battery Maritime Building with stops near the ferry terminal. You may take the M1, M6, M9 and M15. Taxis and car may pull directly in front of the terminal for drop offs only. There is garage parking across the street from the Battery Maritime Building for a fee.

what about the ferry from brooklyn, is that still happening, if so where does it depart from?

Every hour???? This seems crazy. It originally said every 15 minutes. So if you arrive at the Battery Maritime Building at 405pm and the Water Taxi left at 4pm you are stuck until 5pm? If so that is absolutely horrible.

That's where the ferry usually leaves from and where I was planning to head in the first place lol

Pier 11 ferrys go to other places ie: Statue of Liberty etc.

Just look for a green and brown building across from the Staten Island Ferry. You really can't miss it!

The free ferry from Brooklyn leaves from Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, located at the foot of Atlantic Avenue (corner of Columbia Street).

By Subway
2,3,4,5 to Borough Hall
A,C,F to Jay St./Borough Hall
R to Court Street

By Bus
B63 to the terminus of Atlantic Avenue (at Columbia Street)

Oh crap, I never paid attention to what it was called so I thought the same thing. I just assumed that was the only ferry to Gov Island from Manhattan anyway. Good thing they changed it!

What if I’m coming from Brooklyn?
There will be a festival-specific NY Water Taxi leaving from Brooklyn. Please check our Web site one week before the show. The first ferry will leave at the published show door time.


and its 2 days until the show and they havent updated anything
i wish someone from their promotions would update if its happening or not, it will save me some time
