my bro was always super passionate about hiphop. i remember when i was younger and we were growing up together, he'd always educate me on all the latest gangsta rap and hip hop stars. i swear i could recite to you the whole Tupac/Biggie, West/East, Tupac death theories.. he never shut up about it. but out of all the hundreds of artists he played for me over the years, the only one that really stuck out was DJ Quik. i really liked the idea of a rapper who could also produce, a rare thing in hip hop.

so yeah, thanks for posting these! big fan of Quik!
