Who's in for some deep house and deep prog groovy goodness? Excited to see one of my fav! :)

Considered by many as one of the UK's hottest rising artists in the deep house scene, SCOPE will be making his debut here in Toronto this upcoming May!!

SCOPE

After working with most of the top labels on the international House scene SCOPE has become a name many associate with quality.

Hailing from Belfast in Northern Ireland, the DJ turned producer has enjoyed an extremely successful ride since 06.

In this day and age when most DJs and producers focus on conquering on particular sub genre, SCOPE is more than happy to let his versatility and love for House shine through. From his contemporary Deep House releases on UrbanTorque to more Techy outings on NRK, through to the soulful and funky fare on Chicago's Large Music, SCOPE has established himself as a main stay in many top DJs record boxes.
Although a ubiquitous name on the production scene, SCOPE tours regularly and does what he loves most.. Making people dance! His DJ sets are as versatile as his productions. From up front deep house grooves to underground classics, SCOPE still takes the 'journey' approach to his club performances, easily transitioning from soulful, funky grooves to deep and techy rhythms.

2011 is set to be SCOPE's biggest year yet. With productions due on Large, BCBtec, Night Drive and Compost Black Label, global DJ dates, the launch of his own label 'Seven Music' and in April he releases his first commercial release DJ mix on Germany's Big City Beats.

Ah... What a wonderful party!

Never been to Stone Lounge. Got to the front, went to upstairs. Am now surrounded by bunch of black people with low pants and hats on sideways, and some bad hip hop is blaring out of the speakers. I definitely don't belong there. And it cost me 5 dollar to figure this out. (deffo need a sign to point to where the good music is)

So I went downstairs to hear Irgo rocking out some good deep prog/prog and a bit of funkier tunes for his warm up set. It was good. I got this warm and fuzzy feeling inside whenever I hear some good prog.

Scope played more funkier than I expected, with style kinda similar to Luke Fair/recent Desyn Masiello. A lot of groovy tunes that got a lot of people moving. Excellent vibe in an intimate setting. (like someone's basement house party) Love the smaller venues.
Last 30 mins or so was some sort of Ric McClelland special. A lot of interesting tunes that you normally don't get to hear at clubs. Well at least for me. Wish he played more prog, but I don't have any complaints. Though I do wish he played Love in Space or Toronto. Ah well. Maybe next time! (though please don't make it another 3 years of waiting, Ric!)

I can't say no to good music for 10 dollar cover.
Will try my damn hardest to make it out to the Timewriter on 15 Jul @ Stone Lounge. (I've been waiting for this guy to make a Toronto appearance 6 yrs now!)
