I love it when people say "try it another browser"..
look, I use the browser I like to use and If I wanted to use a different one I would.
I had an issue with Soundcloud not allowing me to stream music on my facebook. Tried to figure out what the problem was and everyone kept telling me to try another browser. How the does that fix the problem? It doesn't.
Needless to say I figured out what the problem was w/ Soundcloud. Facebook changed over to https and blocked soundclouds music transmissions. In order to fix it you gotta go back into "account" "settings" "account security" and then turn off https. Then everything is back to working again.
Sure as hell beats changing browsers. |
Oh my , you are daft.
It's not about changing browsers forever, you just open said site in a different broswer to rule out browser incompability.
And nice going disabling https. I hope you get hacked. In the ass. With an axe. |

Can you log onto other forums?

Yep, but then again, most have slightly more advanced login pages (like flash based etc).

Just do a google search for chrome and login problems. |
No . Why didn't I think of that? How do you think I'm able to post if I couldn't log in at all?

Exactly. I even alluded to that in my OP.
Chrome is so much better than any other browser (auto form fill, search straight from menu bar, not to mention it's about 3 times faster than Firefox, let alone IE).
I cannot figure this out. I'm not even using the beta version with the same problem. Starting to think it's a java or plugin issue, but none of the solutions on the web are working :whip:

On facebook? really? Dude I'm in IT. I think I know a little bit about computers and browsser capability and security. Facebook just recently switched over to a secure server and some of the third party sites that are most commonly used within it, were blocked. So, disabling secure browsing (only) within facebook is definitely okay. |
