Through his work as Dj, producer, dancefloor experimentalist, remixer, collaborator and label owner,
Paul Woolford has succeeded in bringing a rare level of artistry to the world of modern dance music
and in doing so, made an enduring global impact. His name is synonymous with high-quality. 2010
was a key year and saw releases and remixes for Sven Vath's Cocoon Recordings, Steve Bug's Poker Flat,
and the release of the double CD mix compilation 'Platform' which displayed Woolford's
sonic manifesto in vivid detail.
Forthcoming releases in 2011 include the debut single for Carl Craig's Planet E Communications
in Detroit, plus remixes for Francesco Tristano for InFine in France, Slam's 'Lifetimes' for Soma
Recordings and T Williams for the UK's cult Local Action imprint.
Irrespective of your position on the dancefloor or listening at home, Paul Woolford's tropes and
idiosyncrasies are unmistakable and he has become a force to be reckoned with in modern dance

Definitely not his first LA performance :)
Last time he was in LA was either May 20 or 21st at Avalon with Paolo Mojo and Nic Fanciulli (I remember because it was my birthday lol). He hasn't been back to the US in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time due to visa issues. Glad they finally got cleared up, he's badass. |
