Hi everyone, very excited to be part of the community.
My name is Ilya, i'm russian but live in the US at the moment.
I like every music genre there is, from baroque to black metal, i play guitar and keyboard, but most of all i love to make electronic dance music.
I'm looking for feedback on my trance track i just made

but feedback on my other tracks is also appreciated

i'm aware that all of my tracks are loudness war victims, and i'm working on doings something about that... the only problem is that i actually like the way they sound, and how compressed they are.. so i would really like to know what other think of the issue... i'm quite perplexed by this dillema
thank you in advance

Indeed, welcome!

I think 1:49 is my favorite part of your track, keep up the good work!

ouff a bit too much mids going on in there try balancing your mix a bit more, dont worry about loudness war btw, you do what you want, not what some engineer wants you to do

thanks for kind words everyone!
Mithieu thanks for the feedback, also you just made me realize that i uploaded the wrong file, the detuned lead is complete out of control in this version, it clips like crazy. But i'll take the mids down a bit and see what it sounds like, different systems can make a hell of a difference sometimes, the monitors and the acoustics of the place in which you mix is crucial to overall frequency response.

Also i agree with you on the issue of loudness war, i understand that its often damaging to the depth of the music.. but im just a person thats ALWAYS trying to turn it up.. you can ask anyone... and i'm not def.. i just like loud music... why is there anything wrong with that...and all these engineers saying how it doesnt make the differece and how you cant even listent to music that loud.. well i beg to differ.. i have a pair of 200 headphones and i am unsatisfied by how quiet alot of songs are at maximum volume.. and i've used many headphones with the same feeling. And i imagine if you are trying to shake the desert floor that lack of head room might come in handy.

This might be the only thing that would get me to drag my self out of the club while kholing.

yeah i like my music loud too! i think its an age thing: i was born

in 92 so as far as i can remember, music was always compressed like

this, so i am used to it and i like it that way, people complaining

about the loudness stuff are prob people that grew up when the

loudness war didnt exist so they are used to no copression and prefer

it that way.

Btw: you might get more feedback if you post the tune in the music producer promotion section

:) i had to clarify as for some of my darkest moments were in a depth of a k-hole and the only way i was leaving the club i was with was in the hands of the bouncers, abandoned by my friends for my chaotic behavior at this point (most of my recollection of this comes from what my friends have told me) i remember trying to instigate a group of friends who happened to have the most charming British accents AS WELL as manners! to give me a beating in the street, to which gesture they simply inquired of my why i felt that way.
Laying in my bad in the morning, i had no recollection of how i got there but i remember the British mates, i was sulking in shame and pain from punching inanimate objects, how i wanted to meet those mates again, shake their hands and treat them to a fresh tasty brew. but unfortunately i never saw them again( If your out there British mates... I'm sorry, and you are truly magnificent man beasts!
