SWEDISH House Mafia have accused fellow producers of “raping” dance music.
Axwell, 33, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, both 28, are fed up with dance floor rivals diluting house music for cheesy pop records.
Axwell said: “All this chewing-gum child sh*t will destroy the house scene. It happened before in 1998 with the filtered house disco stuff. When you start using the Lambada and novelty songs it’s like raping house music.
“It’s gone further away from what it was meant to be. It’s pretty dark what some artists are doing.”
Are you listening, RedOne?
SHM, whose new club banger Save The World is climbing the charts, believe DJs and producers are copying each other.
“There’s a lot of similar sounding records out there,” said Axwell.
“We don’t want house to be watered down.
“It’s up to us to keep it real.”
But the Mafia boys are so busy, they don’t even have time to remix any more.
Axwell said: “I have hired a guy called Thomas Gold. We manage him and he fits in with our style. He’s just done Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain for us.”
Swedish House Mafia play live in Manchester tonight and at London’s Alexandra Palace over the weekend.
“Fans can expect a good, old-fashioned party,” promised the Swede.
“We want try something different live, not have a band but maybe I’ll start serving some drinks or something.”
The group’s latest single Save The World, acc_ompanied by an amazing doggy video, is out now.
I knew these guys had done a lot of coke in their time, but not this much. Axwell actually used to make really great commercial house--Feel the Vibe for example--and played a pretty decent DJ set when I saw him around that time. Angello used to make good prog bangers, too. What a pack of a ing clowns.

Funny about that. I really like the track below, but I recently found out that the main percussion loop is from Vengeance too. It's the part I liked most about it, as well.

Lol, talentless jizzsocks.
Props to them for having the balls to release that though, it's like Kanye releasing Martin Luther's speech as his latest rap.
