Just so you know, I saw that you were posting a lot, in here, and was about to listen to all of your song and give you my thoughts on it, but when you post a link directly to your track with little thought spared to the person you're listening to, it kind of looks bad. You do give more than most but it's kind of given, like when you ask a girl out on a date, that when you post in other people's threads, you're looking for a critique of your own work, too.

Oh, dear. I just realize how that reads. Look. I post reviews in threads without any current work up for review. I'm genuinely trying to help people, or at least show some appreciation for their work. I don't expect complete reciprocity from everyone I review.

Fine. It seems like you're trying to fit in, at least. . Now I've made it seem like you have to "fit" in. So I'll review your work:

Whimsical and original. Sounds like you went a little nuts in the Glitch bus. Has almost an old-school (but not in a dated way) feel to it. I'm can't be sure if the title is referring to its improvisational feel or the old-school mixing and arrangement sensibilities.

I like it. Welcome to the forum. My sincere recommendation is to ditch the referral tag.

Man that's a bright track. I have my monitor high-trim at -2db and it still assaults my ears.

Kinda funky though. Different from what I'm used to...2:25 is cool.

I think the glitch detracts a bit due to the minute gaps of silence. (3:16 for example)

Not sure I like the total stalling out. If you could keep it moving I'd personally like it better. Personal opinion though.

Well produced aside from the brightness, I found the track technically difficult/interesting...good job man.

Lol I love the girl date analogy. I will try take your advice in consideration. :). Really I will. Thanks for the review. Yeah, the title is based on the song's nature, and sounds that took me back to NES-gaming-filled nights that provided a personal glimpse to Nirvana (the state of mind not the band, although the band was sometimes involved).

I Am fond of most of the songs structure. But listening to the same thing for more than10 hrs will make you acquire some odd tastes. I do not have monitors :(.
So I do the best I can with my headphones. Which explains why your ears hurt. Mastering to me is like avoiding a car collision blind-folded. Sorry for your ears

Understandable. Been there done that. I also think that going 12 hours straight might be a cause...Try giving your ears 2-3 days break and coming back to it. You'd be surprised what ear fatigue will do to the high-end.

I know many a folk on these boards won't listen to tracks that pain their ears, and will end up shutting it off within the first 30 seconds...Just the way it goes I guess. *shrug*

But yeah, if you don't have monitors, mastering is pretty much useless, I've tried with a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770pros and it's pretty tiresome to dial in.

No worries though, I have a volume knob and room control on mine so it wasn't too horrible ;)
