Anyone? Im curious to hear how it went. I really wanted to hear Beyer, but had a friends wedding to attend to.

Yeah I want to see how much I have to punch myself in the face for missing this

Arrived last night around 1030. it was deadsville. I felt bad for Addy who was spinning to an empty dance floor. It started to fill up around 12-1ish. There were 4 rooms but could have done with 2. The dubstep room was upstairs which had a nice view but kind of reminds me of kids coloring a coloring book and not keeping it in the lines...dubstep just isnt my thing. The Red Room was by far the best room all night and was packed till the end.

The security was pretty tight. Every time I went to the bathroom(often) there was a security lady banging on the doors and peaking through the stalls to make sure that no monkey business was taking place. I would say that there were 1500 people there tops. I wasnt really feeling the beats, they seemed repetitive and I like them dirtier. The crowd was good, nothing too crazy... a few that over did it but nothing like the typical guv crowd.

All in all glad I went. It was an interesting night to say the least :)

Pretty crappy party. Not a good attendance. And every DJ seemed to play an uninspired or generic set. I went there to see MANDY but they were pretty boring. They're not really big room DJ's IMO.

Further proof not much on FB has substance to it. I think their page had 4000+ likes in a few weeks. I was dumb enough to think this meant attendance would actually be good (not that I went or cared, just sayin).

One thing I was wondering, did the "Space Ibiza" factor make this event cooler or was it more gimmick than anything? Any above par dancers, flames etc..?

Yeah I'm wondering this too. Perhaps there's a reason why it's called "Space Ibiza", as the vibe can only be emulated there.
Big Boss
Big parties are a tough sell these days. Look at the David Guetta party being downsized from Ricoh to Kool Haus.

The target market for this party is all at DEMF anyway...

Too much of the 'pop' music in terms of EDM imo. If they had more variety at Ricoh I'd check it out (and if t went untl later than a measly 12am)

I had a feeling it would be like that...

While I would have loved to hear Beyer/Lumen/MANDY.. I was caught off guard with some of the other names on there. The whole concept of booking DJ's based on facebook popularity has got to stop.
hax-a-million
got there around 1, not much of a lineup which was nice. as people said here and in the roll call, nice to have a change of venue and the crowd, although not overly friendly, was definitely not sketchy. enough girls for sure.

saw adam k for a bit but the volume was quite low in my opinion so i wasn't feeling it too hard. huge patio they have there... ample space in the entire complex for dancing and chilling the whole night which was great for my bday

i didn't make it up to the dubstep room at all but from about 2am on the one side room was totally packed. saw some of jay lumen's set in there and he was definitely impressive.

it was probably tough for the main room djs to bring a ton of energy when they werent being given a ton by the audience (and don't get me wrong, it is definitely an energy exchange)... they weren't making anyone go nuts though. it was always 50% full or more, after 1am anyways... should be enough to get your adrenaline pumping if you're MANDY and you're used to playing smaller rooms. I dunno, admittedly I don't know much about them so if they normally play rooms of that size then ignore the last sentence. saw adam beyer for a bit and he seemed to be pounding it out a lot harder than them, but it was 4am after my birthday party so i was ready to call it a night

big events are definitely a tough sell and there is a ton of risk involved. good on vibrations though, they've made some killer bookings recently
