ok, now this may seem stupid, but i haven't had to get new stylus yet, i've had my ortofons for a while, but since i get the extra needles w/ the carts, i didn't need to buy new ones yet (its been over a year since i got these carts).. anyhow, i'm looking at pssl.com and basically the market price for the ortofon pro stylus is 29.99, now my question (this may seem stupid), when i pay the 29.99 does that come w/ 2 needles? because i have this feeling that i'm only gonna get one because it says stylus, now if there were multiple, then it would say styli wouldn't it? i dunno.. someone throw me a freakin' bone here..

for $30, i would assume it's a single. otherwise, that's a very good deal!
and this reminds me.. it's about time I get some new stylii of my own!

I got the standard carts (Stanton 500 AL II) with my tables....they were slightly used and one of the styli was giving off alot of static....so Im guessing I need to replace it just the styli and not the whole cart? because the other one seems to work fine

id say you are correct.
the cart is what the stylus mounts on - the stylus is the needle itself and it's "holder" to slip it into the cart

yeah i thought so, i ended up breaking the needle out of frustration, then i took the stylus off the cart......things made more sense then! :D
