A buddy of mine got really sick on Saturday (just from too much drinking) so he missed out on A&B and ATB/LL.
We hit up Marquee for Markus, A&B, ATB/LL, then Rain for PvD and loved every minute of it. Markus was amazing as usual, not much else to say about that. :) PvD I hadn't seen in 5-6 years and it was a hell of a lot of fun too.
But what they say is true - ATB's a pretty bad DJ, but at least he plays decent tracks. Laidback Luke really surprised me and had the place going crazy until 7am.
These are certainly not the best photos ever, but I got a few decent ones with my phone and my compact camera. I usually take a lot more photos (so I have more to pick good ones out from) but I was having too much fun with my buddies and enjoying the music to worry about that.

I was all over but doing a lot of "after hours" kinda .
My head still hurts, my wallet is empty and I can only breath from one nostril at the moment.
Can't wait till next year :)

LBL at Marquee was aaaaamazing as usual. we got there at like 1 am and that place was absolutely ridiculously packed, so we just stayed outside in the freezing hurricane winds weather. lol. poor atb had to entertain us for an extra 90 minutes.
Dirty South at Tao Beach was boring :/...still had a great time though
robbie was meeehhh i dont remember anything significant. and Chuckie ripped marquee day club a new one :) soooooo good. |

went to marquee day party on sat. cedric and ab were ok. weather was good, crowd was ok. crwoded, but plenty of places to dance. sound system is very good for an outside pool party location. lots of hoes in high heels and bikinis.
overall, ok party. actually, it was a better crowd than the usual terrible touristy vegas non-edm crowd. at least most folks at the party knew who was spining or had some sort of liking for edm. |

yes!! i completely feel ya on this :) people actually knew who was/were playing. A lot of people i met out n' about went to Deadmau5 or Afrojack and you could tell they had no clue WTF was up.

wet republic friday with boris and calderone was sick. got upgraded to a $3500 cabana courtesy of a friend of a friend so only spent $10 all day. however, got more messed up than i wanted to from the combo of the heat/drinks and dont remember much. the beats were incredible though and the girls were just outrageously beautiful.
chilled saturday and did red rock canyon with the family, went to bed at 9 and woke up at 2am to get ready for calderone afterhours at vanity.
calderone at vanity was sick, despite him only playing a in hour and 45 min set!!! not sure what the the deal was with that. pretty ed up but he destroyed for that time i must say. cool club, good sound, and then bartender from rehab tv show chantel was working so that made my night more enjoyable seeing her :eyes:
sunday did more family stuff and then hit up rain for pvd. been a while since ive seen him and he certainly didnt disappoint!! rain is awesome and was happy to check that out finally.
never made it to morillo at tao, but heard it was the most insane line to get in if u didnt have a ticket from what people said. i had a presale but didnt go. wtf is up with needing a wristband to get on the dance floor at tao?!!! my friends couldnt dance and it was so packed they had to go to a side room and watch morillo spin from a projection screen.
overall, had an incredible weekend for my first MDW in vegas and would absolutely do lovefest/wet republic again. |

We get in Friday in record time.. we bypassed all the ty traffic on the 15 and made it to Vegas by 9:30. Kris came over and we Preloaded and went to Marquee.
Markus set was all right... then again I was so spoiled at Avalon that I think 2 hours is not or enough. I want more!!!! The club was pretty packed though. Met a girl from Utah that was in tears... it was her first time seeing Markus and she was in love! So awesome to see that.
After Markus we went back to the hotel to sleep.
Saturday we went to the Marquee pool party.. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! best pool party I have been in awhile. The bar situation sucks though... took us forever to get a drink! I was lucky enough to move up to the front... it was packed but worth it. I loved their set. I ended up at the back and got to say hi. Left right when Scotty boy came on. AWFUL!
The cab line was huge and since we decided we where close enough to walk we took did that. Well we had to walk across city center to across the street... got a beer and had to hike over a mile to out hotel.
My question is... why is Ice still fenced off and not being used... so sad and such a waste of space.
We rescued some of our friends. They took a party bus over and it was the WORST RIDE EVER! When they got to the cosmo they found out that some douche bags where all ready in the room and just wanted to bang chicks!
We went all went to Fireflys* for dinner and went to the Artisin.. AWEFUL MUSIC! So back to the hotel drank some more and went to Vanity. I was also bummed that Victor played such a short set.... I was really liking it. I also liked Vanity a lot too. Super nice club... well except the super sticky floors. At least the drinks where strong!!! We stayed till the lights came on.
Sunday was a lazy day... got up at 5pm :haha: we got ready and headed to Armin. It was soooooo packed!!! I am sure the bitter cold wind did not help. Arin played a great fun set! Left after got something to eat and went back to sleep.
Super fun weekend all around!!! :D |
