Netflix?

Sorry if this has been discussed already. I did a search and couldn't find a thread about it.

So...

Anyone use Netflix? I just bought a ps3 and saw it in my videos section.

Says I get a month free and then it's $8 a month after that.

I don't quite understand how it works or how well it will stream through the ps3.

Thoughts?

Mid to Low definition , specially if the movie is old you will notice it.

Feels like you are watching a movie on youtube for some reason.

Works awesome through my PC. Use it all the time.

Though I also get one DVD a month, I'm not sure where the DVD is and have probably had it two years or something like that o.o

Interesting...

I have been using it for a while. Works great. Pay $8. Thousands of streaming movies and tv shows. The quality depends on the speed of your connection so if you have a slow connection the quality will be like Youtube 260p or 360p. The selection is excellent so you wouldn't be paying to watch nothing but old crap.

Do you think the wireless on the ps3 is good enough to stream? Or should I hook up the ps3 with an ethernet cable?

It's not 1 DVD per month, it's unlimited DVDs per month, but you can only have 1 at a time. So if you watch it and send it back the day after you could have like 10-15 per month. Blu rays are also only like $2 more per month. If you actually use it it's definitely worth the money, and far cheaper than renting the equivalent amount of movies per month.

Hard wire is always better but wifi should work too. It'll depend on how far you are front the router and everything though.

Ok so you can have them physically send you a DVD/Blu-ray or you can simply stream?

Sounds cool.

Honestly I wouldn't really bother. We got it a couple of weeks ago and the selection for Canada is very poor; I don't think we have access to nearly as much a U.S. customers. Everything is at least 1-2 years old as well.

You can do either one or both. I think streaming only is like $8 per month and to have them physically send you 1 DVD/Blu-ray at a time is $10 per month.

I guess I'll give the free trial a shot and see out of date is before I waste any money.

Thanks for answering my questions broskis!
