Somebody’s Story Music head honcho Igor Cold has teamed up with his good friend Ilya Malyuev for the labels third outing.Two very different takes on the same track has served up another sure fire success for what is quickly becoming one of the hottest new labels to hit the scene in recent times.
Igor’s version again demonstrates the man’s versatility reinforcing his ever growing reputation whilst putting his polished musicianship on show once again.For Little is in a Tech House vein with Somebody’s Story’s melancholic feel to the production an underlying sub plot.Intricate melodies intertwined with a tough techy riff and solid kick drum all weaved together and built around relaxing soundscape of instrumental sounds which build steadily towards an emotive breakdown which put’s the listener in a beautiful place before delivering them back into the full clasp of this wonderfully original sounding track.
On the flip side Ilya’s version of For Little is in stark contrast to Igor’s but delivers fantastic atmosphere reflecting a myriad of emotions.Ilya’s second track for Somebody’s Story is very much a follow on from his remix of Igor Cold’s ‘you will bloom and I will live’ which only contained minimal rhythmical sequences which on this track have disappeared altogether.
That fact alone sets Ilya apart from many of today’s electronic producers as he is able to create an emotive reflection of his inner thoughts without the need of to many beats.Hear him build and layer his sounds into a collage of sound providing the perfect reflection to Igor’s version.
Enjoy two contrasting pieces on the same ep as Somebody’s Story Music once again deliver something special and again reinforce there status as a label to watch for the foreseeable future.
