War on Drugs called a failure

The 19-member commission includes former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and former US official George P. Schultz, who held Cabinet posts under presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon.
Others include former US Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker, former presidents of Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, writers Carlos Fuentes and Mario Vargas Llosa, Virgin boss Richard Branson and the Prime Minister of Greece. |
Well hopefully this will change the way we do things here in the States right?

I don't think the majority of western societies are 'ready' for this kind of thing yet. Having said that most people think weed is pretty harmless and alcohol/tobacco are demonstrably bad.

What is worse is the hypocrisy of solving drug addiction
To solve drug addiction includes putting the addicts on other pharmaceutical DRUGS that are perfectly legal, and they put money in the pockets of??
Police officers who arrest you
Jail Owners who give you a place to stay
Rehab personel who take care of you because you have a problem
and
Pharmaceutical companies who supplied their manufactured cure
and
Drug courses you have to take after
A Judge who requires that you to pay fees when you get taken to court
All for what? a drug addiction?
NO; IT IS ALL ABOUT ING GOD DAMN MONEY
AMERICAN HYPOCRISY

Seriously the WAR on DRUGS failed but one of the main reason the WAR IS PERPETUATED IS TO FURTHER CONTROL THE MASSES AND PUT MONEY INTO THE POCKETS OF CERTAIN CORPORATIONS.
