....so it used to be only for search results but as of June 1st this button can be used on all web content as well.
Do you think it'll fly?

it's basically adding functionality from stumble upon.
I don't think this will take off too quickly but give a year or so and marketing will move towards +1 campaigns

so when does TA get a +1 button then? would save me from quoting and writing +1 :)

speaking of +1, I just noticed the share options on TA...woah...oldskool social media now combined with nuskool social media?

Seems like they've taken the idea from Facebook and the "like" button.
Good idea nonetheless. It's simple.

I don't want ANY of my friends, family or internet acquaintances knowing about ANYTHING i'm searching for, EVER! :whip:
The things I have delete out of Google search cache daily... :nervous:

Thing is... Google has Open Spot (app for finding an open parking spot), no one uses it. No one uses Buzz from what I can tell anymore. None of my friends use Google Latitude, but some use Talk which is nice.
I wonder if anyone here other then me uses Google Music Beta. Plus not sure if any of you got Google Voice.
+1 will take a while for people to get use to.

Probably like starting your own successful business, 1 in 10 or whatever it is. You gotta try a bunch of things, learn from where you did good, where you failed, fix you failures, capitalize on your strengths and then try again.
I'm sure someone once said "MAPS ON THE INTERNET?! No one will use that!" or "Who's going to type EXACTLY what they want converted in the search bar?! Why wouldn't they just search up a conversion site?" as some point in Google's history...

That's kinda my thoughts too. It's a great way to use public opinion to get better search results showing up. Since SEO has blown up there's a lot of junk even on the best of search engines. But like you said as soon as it's big enough to make a difference they'll just include getting +1's in their SEO design and we're back to square one.
