animal collective was so fucking sick this year! literally melted my face and several brain cells :crazy: :eyes: :eyespop: brandt brauer frick, sven, trentemoller, mumford & sons and cut copy were ace as well. guess ill go again next year :D

But, we're all in for both weekends and we have the condo booked for 11d. We'll see what we actually do. |

I was thinking about going to Coachella for the first time until I saw the prices for the nearby hotels! There was only one 3-day package for less than $2,000 (and was under by only about $100). It did state that Coachella tickets were included, but I'm spending 8 nights in Ibiza for around this, so hard to justify these prices.
Anyone know of some other decent hotels in the area that are close enough to go to/from the event using the shuttles that only service the four star hotels? I don't need one with a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, room service, plush robes, etc. Something like a Radisson or Holiday Inn would be ok, but I'm guessing all hotels will jack up the rates since they will sell out no matter what. |

I'm staying at a holiday inn for $120 a night (only 3 stars though). Not complaining :) will only be in the hotel to sleep. They still had quite a few rooms available when I booked a couple days ago
Also parking is free at coachella so there's no reason to get a shuttle pass unless you plan on getting really ed up :P (or if you dont plan on driving to indio)
e: also that holiday inn does have a shuttle pass available (i think it's called holiday inn palm desert? it's about 6-8 miles down the road from coachella)
