More Noisia type sounds but I heard some Skrillex in there too.

hmm.. was looking around for "use vocoder bass" in google and this is the 2nd result that came up. heh
edit: watched the vid, it's okay. was looking for something a little more along the lines of big nice punchier and warmer vocoder basslines, these sound digital and brittle to me.

e: you can basically skip to 4:58 for the point of the video.

Cool video, but still not really what I'm going for. Def. NOT trying to sound like Skrillex. I wanna see people use a vocoder on their basslines, because I'm too lazy to just get a vocoder and try it myself in Ableton. I did it to great effect when I used Reason. Don't feel like re-wiring though.
OOPS!
Second that. I like Skrillex too sometimes but I have no aspiration to sound like him. So lame that other producers try to copy his 'growls.' :haha:

@13mins, who would want to copy that? :wtf:

Ableton has its own vocoder. What exactly are you looking for?

That sound does not make me think of Skrillex, it reminds me more of Daft Punk - Technologic
OOPS!
All you need is FM8. Learn wavetable synthesis. Add a bit of Ohmicide, bit of EQ, maybe a limiter. Layer a little bit. Bingo. BoewaHaahhuuuuxxxxSHHHhRAAHH!!
