That's great Mike. It reminds me of this one time I went into a medical clinic and started offering free advice on how to be a great doctor. It was completely irrelevant because most of it was either common sense or just largely informed from a completely ignorant point of view. When they asked me to leave, however, I had the satisfaction of telling them, "At least I'm trying."

Here's my tips for being a great producer at TA:

Tip 1: Correct Forum Posting.

Posting in the correct forum isn't just wise. It also shows other forum members that you're not chomping at the bit, trying to make yourself appear to be something you're not. It shows that you pay attention to detail and actually care more about the music you're making than the naked egotism you're trying to project.

Tip 2: Knowing what the you are talking about.

Issuing glaringly generalized, obvious advice like, "If your bass drum is too loud, you can turn it down" isn't really helpful. Neither is starting a thread which contains similarly organized "suggestions". Misusing jargon familiar to music production lexicon only further erodes your credibility as it becomes quite discernible that the only thing you have to contribute is ego and bull.

Tip 3: Shutting the Up.

Anyone who doesn't know as much as you do isn't going to be helped by your "advice". In fact, they might take your suggestions as information they should follow. They might even think the authoritative tone couching your completely unqualified advice is something they should emulate. The simple remedy for this is, shutting the up.

Sweet guide, Eddie!
You're mission a vital tip for this newbie, though...

Tip 4: off and die.
Please do, troll.

Tip 3: Cuttoffs

Take advantage of using cutoff to sync patterns, it gives them a gr8 build up.

Those are my tips, feel free to share yours :)

This isn't as popular anymore, but I think it works like a treat. Xpander and synthaesasia use this techique to great effect, and would not be the same without it.
