Question about Fruity Free Filter

I have a question concerning fruity free filter. I am trying to link the cutoff(freq) knob to fuity's internal midi out plugin in order that whenever I play a note, the filter knob goes to that frequency. I am trying to use the bandpass filter, with resonance cranked up, to play tones made from white noise. Is this possible or do I need to find a different plugin for this?

not sure if that's possible without some sort of conversion device/plugin that will translate individual notes to certain numbers in the 0-127 range of midi that the filter parameter can react to.
Kinda on the same grounds as if you were to route velocity to the filter cutoff on a synth.

Shoot, why don't you just get a synth that has a white noise generator on board and do just that. but instead of hopping from note to note on the midi editor you're gonna have to draw in the velocity of whatever note you choose to match the frequency you're trying to reach at any given time. It would be timely way of working though...

In Sylenth1 you could have an oscillator set to white noise, then have a lowpass filter with a lot of resonance. Then have the Keytrack as a the source for the filter's Cutoff frequency. Adjust the initial cutoff frequency to tune the instrument and then you get a playable whitenoise.
Should be possible with fl studio filters and the fl studio envelope controller to make something like keytrack, but if you have sylenth, it's the easiest way to do it.

Thanks a lot for all this. Now I have a better understanding of what the process is called, Key tracking and I found that the FL plugin Poizone does this. This has been helpful.
