you don't know how to use google maps.
I have some maps with almost 100 points and I can share them fine. Your link doesn't even work
So yeah that being said. Don't travel by car unless it's a car you can sleep in.
For something like this you may be better off getting a eurail pass to travel around without worrying about costs as much as if you were driving.
you may have to do some fiddling around to get the ticket

As convenient as it is to travel by car when you want to hit a lot of spots it becomes a real pain and you're not so much enjoying the journey as you're trying to get to the next spot.
Look into couch surfing for free accomodation you'll meet amazing people like that.
I've hosted some people that were world travellers and they were pretty fun. It's hit or miss, but most people on couch surfing are super cool. |

So you're in a financial pickle but find it appropriate to take a few weeks vacation and upgrade your Alpha Romeo??
I make pretty good money but I still find it hard to take more than a week off a year... |

Kind of figured that out, thats why i said it in one of the edits and just left it as is (also it was about 3.30 am when i was doing it so i didnt feel like making an effort). I actually still dont so heres a quick and dirty way to show a route i want to take. (not the exact route, as i said, i want to hug the coastlines as much as possible)

The whole point of this tour would be to drive to all these places, not just visit them. An epic level road trip if you will, something that i could remember for years after as slightly pointless but quite amazing experience. I love travelling by car and i absolutely loathe any kind of public transport. Travelling several hours in a train to me is so incredibly boring that i might end up throwing sharp things at other passengers just to pass the time. Driving on the other hand i never find boring, its an experience in itself, youre not just a passive passenger waiting to get somewhere, youre the one making the decisions. I know i was complaining about costs in the first posts, but to me, spending money and driving myself is worth it, while spending slightly less money to hit the same places but on a train...might as well stay at home.
Its like some acquaintances of mine do every year, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. A 7 days roadtrip, blasting trough the nicest peaks and roads in the Alps (link1). Not for the view or because theres anything exciting there, but for the sheer thrill of the drive itself.(Link2)

Well im not going to do it now. I said in the first post that its something i want to treat myself with after im done with pulling my back together. But i know its going to take a while, i know its not going to be easy, and when i do do it, i want to be able to treat myself a little at the end. Like i said. Some would prefer to spend a few weeks roasting on some sunny beach, i would get bored of that in a few days time, so while im still young enough and wifeless enough to do it, why not take a nice long trip.
As for time off. This being europe, i have 24 (or is it 25? cant remember at the moment) days of paid vacation per year. Sure, usually its spread out trough the year and not spent in one large sum, but i always have vacation days left over at the end of the year anyway, would be nice if for once i could spend them all on something nice when i want to and let them expire or use them to lay about at home like most everybody does when the year comes around. |

Okay I get it...
Yes it does sound like a great road trip indeed but not epic...
Epic would be to include the Stelvio Pass... |
