Good job on this.

The kick/bassline struggles in the mix a bit when you start layering the leads, especially after the kick out, but more importantly to my ears the panning needs to be amended as there is a little too much separation between each channel.

Both minor points & easily rectified...that is if you believe my opinion of course :haha:

Enjoy the new monitors:D

@ atx, thanks man glad you like it

Cheers on this feedbback.

Wasn't really sure how to mix the end part...I actually went purposefully conservative on the low end in favor of the arps/piano. Could bring the bassline up slightly and do a little more finessing with the sidechain.

And yeah the hats/etc... are panned out pretty hard due to my initial mix on headphones. Easily fixable though.

On a second listen with fresh ears...the mids on the arps were a bit messed up, and there was a touch too much verb on the bass...Should all be fixed.

thanks again matey.

Ok I've done more tinkering.

Stereo widening has been adjusted as well as all of the perc location using better monitor placement...

Decided that the arpeggiated synth wasn't doing it for me, so I started from another init patch and came up with waaaaay better results.

Fixed balancing throughout the whole mix, and I really think I nailed the piano finally.

Should be near what I'd call "done"...although I'd hope to extend the track with more ideas...(They just haven't come to me yet :()

The a/b is at the top!

Listening to the first: Very engaging, but definite harshness - particularly when the piano comes in. Still, beautiful arpeggio work.

Take 2: Liking the unison mid-line bass. Highs definitely not as harsh. Love the idea of a subtle melody coming in behind the arpeggio on the break but I think you can do a little more with that part. Can really hear the layers on this, moreso than the first version. Piano not as harsh but I think it's still a little too prominent. Not that I want it recessed in the mix, but it's like, (don't take this harshly because I love the notes it's playing and musically, it's perfect) "HEY YA'll! Here I am. I'm the Piano!!! Can you hear me? I AM THE MOTHER-ING PIANO!!! BOOYAH!!"

All told: Really pretty work on this. Recess the piano 1.5-2dB, without killing its lead position in the mix.

I'm on the fence as well with the piano. Finding it's happy place in the mix has been difficult. I might try lowering it's volume and upping it's reveerb a little bit. I kinda like it set into the mix a bit more personally, but I was told that it didn't stand out enough from some other feedback.

Reveerb on the arps is also wonky...will sort it with fresh ears. (no room treatment's gonna make it haaard :()

Feedback is appreciated as always Eddie.
