There is a Pitch Correction plug in called Gsnap:

Karma FX has an awesome donationware FX pack, scroll down on this page and you'll see it:

Then someone else on another thread pointed me to this Echo that can be used as a flanger too:

Great to see this thread like I suggested! :)

That's odd, it's showing as free on my end:

List Price $35.00
Your Price $0.00
You Save $35.00

When I add it to the cart and checkout, the amount due is $0.00. Maybe it's a US-only deal???

BTW, this is a great idea and nicely organized Storyteller! Hopefully Diginut stickies it.

This one is a little buggy depending on your PC Setup but I've had few problems with it.

This was actually the first thing I started making music on, it's especially good at making chiptunes because it's pretty lo-fi. There aren't mixer channels or anything, but you can load in a VST like Synth1 and play it from in there.

I still use it now though simply because the sound has a lot of character, the square waves and triangle waves make me think of my gameboy. The noise it has built in is super lo-fi 8 bit noise, you can make drum sounds with it.

The forums are relatively active considering it's an underground product.

Not for professional use but definitely fun and maybe even useful.

How could we miss Valhalla FreqEcho? Mac (AU/VST/RTAS) and PC (VST & RTAS)

I'm suprised some of you seemingly use so much free stuff. I only use the 4 plugins I mentioned after the OP. I don't feel like I'm missing out though hehe.

Edit: Practically everything that has been mentioned is in the list now!

Chorus - TAL-Chorus-60

Synth - TAL-Bassline

Added all the TAL stuff I found when quickly scanning through their site :).

Great work everyone, kudos to storyteller.

Grabbing one or two of these to try, thanks!

Wasn't there a good one under CM Magazine?

Ok yeh I was talking about "Genesis".

I'm not sure if its Ummet Ozcan or if CM made it but I think its free to use. I'm really not sure. Its a whore of a synth anyway but its good to sample some fat sounds from.

I'm still not 100% sure if its free but maybe someone else knows.
Thanks to this thread though I've been using synth1 again lately and I'm really starting to believe this synth sounds better than z3ta. It has a very warm/dense sound to it and some of the bass sounds are extremely punchy/analog sounding. I took the "commercial sawz" preset, added a bit of FM, tightened the envelopes, added some saturation and I'm astonished how thick and present this thing sounds.

I really need to start incorporating synth1 more in my mixes I don't even feel like I'm getting that same dense character from other commerical synths.

edit: DAYAM it sounds even sicker going through a phaser, this sounds just like the bass from ALT F4 - Alt F4.

if it hasn't been mentioned before what about audio units?
