Been looking forward to it for months now! I've never seen A&B but have been listening to them for years.

It will be my first EDM event in probably 8 years.

Flying solo and very excited!

Any idea how long Jaytech / A&B have been playing this tour?

Heading towards Chicago later this afternoon. It looks like we will be getting a serious storm or two!

Have you ever seen a show at the HOB? I was hoping to hang out at a bar for a while beforehand and am not sure where to go.

I know the HOB has a bar and I'm sure there are a few dives in the area.

Don't really care about any sort of scene, just want somewhere I can put my feet up for an hour or two and have a few drinks.

I have seen them once before when they played at vision sometime last year (jaytech was the opener there too), and they surely did not disappoint. HOB is my favorite music venue in the city. Wayy better than the congress or aragon, or even the riv for that fact, imo (the sound is just better there, acoustics are nice)

As far as a bar to have drinks before...right around the block is Rossi's Liquors...total dive joint but cheap drinks and normal, sometimes funny patrons. 412 N. State Street.

hob cant be compared to the others simply because of the size....its like 1500 cpaacity compared to 4000+ for the others.....im a smoker, and i dont like the fact that the wont let u go outside to smoke and then come back...minor details...otherwise i love the place
IMO, Jaytech was better last time then A&B was!

Thanks for the heads up on Rossi's. I will probably end up checking it out, especially if it is storming.

How is the crowd? Is it an enjoyable crowd to get my head right or is the crowd too up tight/intense? I was hoping to meet some decent folks.

From videos I've seen it appears to be younger (18-22) "clubbers" jumping up and down. :stongue:

I need a little room to boogie. I definitely don't want to be packed in like a can of sardines. Hopefully there is more space near the back.

Also, if they don't have a designated smoking area, or don't let me out to smoke, I may just lose my mind!

I have a room at the hotel right next to the HOB so I am not too worried about getting back safely.

Also, if the show starts at 10:30, will they play until 3? Trying to get an idea of the timing!

Very much looking forward to this evening!

im sure they will play until close...whatever that is for a friday night.....3-330 i would assume....mostly jumpers because thats all their is room for....the back should be fine, or even upstairs.....its a lovely venue tho......as far as smoking, most people do it in the bathroom stalls...but dont get caught..LOL

the crowd will be more kiddies than anything, its a 17 and over show, so take that for what its worth. Sometimes the young vibe can be fantastic, other times douchebag like, but either way it's always entertaining. There is plenty of room in the back/upstairs is cool to chill and people watch as well.
