I like to read news geared or focused on Toronto instead of sifting through the national stuff just looking for a glimpse of our city.

These are the few that I peruse sometimes:

www.blogto.com
www.torontoist.com
www.thestar.com
www.torontolife.com
www.tranceaddict.com/forums/forumdi...p?s=&forumid=12

What do you read?

that pretty much sums it up for me too.

Don't really care for the vast majority of the way news (specially local) is reported out there. If I'm going to look I usually use Google (which covers local/country/international) to look for articles of interest. If you read one you like from international press it's always cool to check out the rest of that org's website. This is what interests me the most, using a Russian/Chinese/Euro/etc. news website to see a completely different perspective. It's amazing to see all the brainwashing that goes on in North American news only to look at stuff from other parts of the world to see an equal level of brainwashing going on but with a completely difference stance/take on issues. Although it's often too bias I do like the Guardian out of the UK as I find they give less of a about offending people when they report on something. The news needs a lot more of that before I become a regular reader...

In terms of these sites, I don't use them for news stories but rather just to know what's going on in the city in terms of events and other activities.
