Which defeats the purpose of going on a boat cruise (for me) ... I prob won't go back on that boat unless it's to hear someone I am absolutely dying to see.

How many boat parties does TO get a year with internation DJs? Thats what Montreal's lacking BIG time. I guess it's cuz we don't have a proper boat..

Booking a big name DJ on an open deck outdoors is very risky as well.

Maybe 6-7 bigger ones a summer...? They all generally have covered DJ booths and some sort of retractable dance floor covering or indoor area in case of rain.

The best thing about them for me is the vibe. You get a lot less attitude, chiller people, actual music fans (the others don't want to pay the extra cost) and better girl/guy ratio etc than you do in the clubs here. Montreal's natural club vibe from my experience is somewhat close to what we have on the boats though so you guys are fine without. Plus having the lake helps a lot...

This is one of the main reasons I too like these cruises.

Fortunately true (usually).

Boat cruises can be fun, but to me if I'm going to spend $100-150 (ticket, drinks, food, cabs, etc), it better be a really good party, which it often isn't (restrictive liqour laws re: not being able to serve until you're a certain distance away, noise restrictions, G outs, etc). I did have a lot of fun on the Lawler boat cruise a couple of weeks ago, but there have been way to many "meh" cruises for me to want to go on them on any sort of regular basis.
Vanos
just noticed the leger cruise is on enterprise 2000 ((((, i like river gambler but lee foss ((

dont even know where to go now, why cant it be lee foss on enterprise 2000 and leger on river gambler ;)

Just speaking from my experiences which I guess have been different than yours. But $100-150 is kinda blown up. Cabs, drinks, food are the same cost at a club the only difference is really cover/ticket. $50 for a boat and say $20 for a club, $30 extra isn't a huge deal. They also changed the laws this year so you get served while docked. Lastly, all the proper boat cruises I've been on haven't kept the music hushed in fear of noise complaints. I'm not mr boat cruise guy or something but after a long winter of indoor parties the boats are more than welcomed...
