I agree with Matt about the set, but the last 20 minutes was just awesome. Saw some new TAs so thats always a good thing.
I don't know what happened either Matt, I thought we were all gonna meet up outside but when Alex and I got outside no one was there. We saw John and Tom down the block but that was it. Weren't you and Arnold right behind me? I wanted to see Caryn's pic of me and you with our signed t-shirts @ Area2. :D |

Redeye & I saw Sasha at Dancevalley 10 days ago.
The festival started at noon, it was POURING!
Sasha was playing at 2pm at the mainstage which had NO TENT.
Thank g-d, I brought an umbrella! So a bunch of us were at the mainstage staring at Sasha in the rain. Our swiss & dutch friends decided they didn't want to stand in the rain anymore so they galvanted off to the eurogrooves tent w/some no name DJs.
I said to Ian "We are staying for Sasha!" So there we were standing on a hill, huddling under the umbrella, w/about 50 others that congregated in front of Sasha.
It was a lil strange seeing Sasha at 2'o clock in the afternoon let alone in the pouring RAIN standing in mud! All of sudden as he dropped Expander vs Cowgirl the sun started to break through the clouds. The sun was making its grand entrance, from that point on the music was in sync with the Sun. The sun started to come out and he played harder & faster. Sasha brought out the Sun! We closed the umbrella, took off our hoods looked around & there was a sea of wet ppl smiling holding their hands up to the glorious sun. It was a great moment. :D |

What tracks did he play off of AirDrawnDagger?
Great space, great system (no ear-ringing at all), friendly crowd, the CO2 was .
But I thought Sasha was a let down. It was a little too chill most of the night. |

Despite what everyone else says, I had a great time. After listening to the CD I wasn't expecting much. Slow progressive trance is what Sasha produces, and half of what he played was that. The other half was good progressive trance (Max Graham style) He did jump around alot from fast to slow but that didn't bother me much. Once again Arc was very crowded & hot. It was alot of fun craming into the center to get hit with the air jets.
As for the meetup inside the club, we all found each other at the start of the night and kind of split up towards the end. Me, John, Melissa, & KidNyce were at the record signing and all got to shake hands with Sasha before he went on. From Virgin we went for Dinner, then bought our tickets, and then went to a lounge to chill before going to Arc.
Overall a good night for me. Next time out will have to be the Roxy party on the 30th. I'm being forced to skip Johan Gilien because of a business trip. I'll see you all in 2 weeks. |

| Yea so I just met Sasha, and got his new CD signed and a record. It was awesome heh. Hopfully he won't play a "boring" set tonight here in Boston. I have never seen him play, so even if I don't like what he plays, at least can say that I've seen him :D |
