Sasha and Burn Studios launch Europe-wide search to find the world’s next producer star!
This summer Burn Studios will team up with legendary DJ and producer Sasha and electronic music portal Beatport to search for the most exiting, up-and-coming music producers from across Europe. Fourteen talented electronic music stars of the future will win the chance to take part in an exclusive production bootcamp at the Burn Studios Hacienda in Ibiza, with mentoring from some of the industry’s leading names including world-renowned DJ and technology maverick Richie Hawtin and pioneering DJ and producer Sasha. The overall winner of the competition will then be flown to New York to collaborate with Sasha on the first release from his forthcoming, much-anticipated third artist album.
To be in with the chance of winning this money-can’t-buy opportunity entrants must remix this year’s IMS anthem ‘Cut Me Down’, a track created by Sasha. Entries must be uploaded to the cloud before 10th July (12am CET) when fourteen remixes will be hand selected by Sasha. The winning producers will be flown to the Burn Studios Hacienda in Ibiza, a state of the art equipped villa where Burn Studios will relocate for the summer. They will then take part in a 5-day intensive production bootcamp from 26th July to 30th July developed by SAE Institute, which includes mentoring sessions and master classes from some of the biggest names in the industry. Throughout this time winners will share their remixes online and get the public voting for their favourite. Then, at the end of the Hacienda program, the student with the most overall votes and support for their remix will go on to be crowned winner and be awarded the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Sasha on his next release!

On topic, I'll maybe have a go at this. Would be an interesting conversation with my boss at my mrs if I was to be one of the 14 (which is highly highly doubtful - my particular brand of proggy trance isn't really the 'in' thing at present with Mr Coe). 'Yeah I'm just ing off to Ibiza for a bit, watch the kids and I expect my job to still be vacant on my return.... cheers' |

| Nice - thanks for posting this, alot of remix contests are ways for labels to promote themselves or a product - but this is genuinely an amazing opportunity to work with a legend and get to ibitha! |

Good call on the "no-charge" part. Too many comps have that irritating little factor.
I really hope the people that win have an excellent time with this.
Side note: it reminds me of James Holden collaborating with Sasha on Airdrawndagger. Not that he won a competition to do so, that I know of, but it was a great song!
So, hopefully that comes of this too! |

I think pretty much everyone here would get that...:haha:
I am definately gonna give this a go! And I'm not gonna show it to anyone until it is 100% done. Seems to be a common denominator in my unifinished tracks. |
