Yup - crazy good set. Sound needs some work at BETA but that'll come when they get a liquor license apparently. This weekend was my first time in Waterloo and the club itself is really nice - had a blast.

This was a great set and night out, best I've had at Beta thus far. I've only went to Sander van Doorn and Marcus Schossow before this night. His first half, or first set lol, was more crowd pleasers and vocals. A couple anthems, Airwave, Funk Soul Brother remix...
Markus started to get more gritty and thumping and then it seemed like the night was going to be cut short at 2:45am :( I'm not sure why because there was a good size crowd still in attendance and the party was scheduled to end at 3:30am.
Regardless, Markus subdued himself to the crowd's chants for "ONE MORE TRACK!! ONE MORE TRACK!! ONE MORE TRACK!!". We were walking out and almost through the front doors but then I heard a cheer followed by a fresh track...which turned into another... and into yet another!! It was part 2. Markus brought dark prog trance to Beta for the troopers who stayed! Lights were super dim and the use of deep red lighting and strobes were done at perfect timing. It gave off a more serious and extreme party mode vibe to Beta that I haven't experienced before....Markus was dancing like CRAZY behind the booth - his gorilla infused transformer arm movements were hilarious to watch but he was always beaming with smiles and heart signs for the crowd. Huge build ups, bigger drops, relentless pounding of the system...
Bring him back! What a night and a cap to my bday weekend!
