Should be in the /library/audio/plug-ins/component folder if it's Audiounit, or /VST if it's VST, and also, don't forget to enable the use of VST in the Live prefs.

Don't want to be a troll, but this information is into the manual of both Live and Stylus RMX.

You didn't tell if you did check those essential points in your post.

If it still doesn't work pay disk utility a visit into the utilities folder and repair permissions of your macintosh hd, it helps a lot.

If it still doesn't work check the plug-in folders by clicking them once and pressing cmd-i and then, check the permissions tab, make sure that there's a line that says UserXXX(Me) => Read and write, if not change it and select "apply to all subfolders and elements".

Don't know if it's the correct sentence for all params, my Mac OS has been in FR since 1998.

Chiming in a bit late but might be useful for others with this problem.

There seems to be a bug somewhere in the system and some VST's won't show up unless they are sitting in sub folders (ie create a folder within your VST folder and place them there).

If all else fails give this one a try.
