Album topic
I will use this topic for my next youtube album.
Am working on a bunch of trax to finish.
But i'll up following ones in new replies
That way i don't flood the section with my songs
Cos i think it would be anti social of me to make so many topics
Will edit title after new posted song This Album is finished now next will be a bit slower bpm and softer.
If you got the time have a listen
And if you got tips feel free to reply
Am working on em ,will up em when i'm happy enough with the result
But can be edited so the album is a Work In Progress
===============================================
81 Power Dream 2011
133 bpm Trance the classic way
I put some extra instruments on my 2008 song
Took the Vocoded vocal away
Plus upped much better audio quality.
And finally merged it on my youtube albums as title track.
I hope you enjoy listening to the song

Extra info for youtube users; How To Replace Audio on a video
I liked the graphics from my old video but didn't save the moviemaker file.
But i found a reasonably quick way to replace the audio.
-Get your video and convert it to AVI
-Google FX New Sound [freeware version] and install
-Start FX New Sound load your converted avi as video
-Now you can load new audio ,i used wav
-Set you name and place to save and go
The pictures will stay on the same timing
And you'll get all new audio on the graphics
I made a title on the end of the graphics
So the graphics were a bit longer than the audio
But cos the starting point is the same and song length too
It all stayed on timing and i could just fade away the end title
if you want to add a coffer
-load the new video in moviemaker
MM will cut your imported video in parts of graphics incl audio
So put em on timeline in the right order else you mess up u'r song
-Put your jpg, picture before the music real shortly
I hope it comes up as thumbnail so i can lock it to that thumb.
But if not then those who pres play will see it anyway.
Hope this helps some youtubers out here
Cos it was a heck of a lot of work to do with win media edit.
This way i did it in 30 min or so
The other way would take hours of processing time :eyespop:
How to GREATLY improve the quality of your uploaded youtube audio
If you use moviemaker to create your video's for youtube
Then there is no need to convert your music to mp3
Moviemaker already compresses your soundfiles
Drop a wav in movie maker and a jpg as coffer
Your wav may be 70 mb jpg 800k
But ones saved as wmv the file is 15-20 mb most times
So movie maker is already compressing your audio automatically.
And you can't turn that compressing off in any way
So no need to reduce the quality of your sound by mp3ing it
Using wav sounds a lot better yet its still not real wav
Cos you can't have a 15 mb file thats as good as the 60 mb real wav
Smaller size means bits are taken away already ;)
I bet this is why many musicians find youtube bad for audio use.
Yep if you compress it to mp3
And then movie maker compresses it further
And then who knows what youtube compresses in its processing
Thats 3 times compressed just see the size of your uploaded youtube vid
Just compare it to the size of your wav or even mp3
Give it a try and you'll hear the improvements
On my old version you hear a compressor sound getting pushed down
Thats not a vst but thats result of triple compressing
In my new version you wont hear that sound getting messed up
Good luck hope it helps out some to discover the youtube world
Cos imo all musicians should have a youtube account
It's the first place i go if i got a title and wanna hear a song.
And the whole world knows how to use it
So everyone can find you there if they know your name
Sorry my friend for not giving you any constructive criticism, people over here can become overwhelm very quickly a specially if some one is throwing few tracks on them at the same time lol - but I could hear some interesting and cool approach to a Trance in your productions.
Cheers man,
Darek

Thanks for listening and replying.
Yeah i'm from the old school and we even liked 4 versions per song.
I'm now working on my next track ,that one has 4 mixes haha
Upping 4 versions to ask what version folks like best is too much
So i'll just pick the one i like most myself for the album
And might up all mixes as ep at a later stage on the tube
Got so many trax that i never finished :gsmile:
Am disabled for work now cos i got Epilepsy 4 years ago
So now i can finish them got all the time in the world
Most here work so to them time is precious  So i understand

I've just kind of browsed through your music, not really expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised. You might be going for an old-school sound but I really like the attention to detail in these, particularly with your mixing.

Thanks ,yeah i should be able to do a decent mix.
Worked as engeneer in a recording studio for a while
Never went to school for it but been making music for years
First started when PC were even not invented yet haha
Still got my old ATARI 1040st yet never use it like my pro mix yamaha mixer :eyes:
My problem with songs is i always put too many notes in.
Am just too hooked on layering tone on top of tone.
But i'm trying to minimize my productions a bit more.
I just get bored real fast with a melody.
And most commercial songs repeat a lot.
I never took the time to study that repeating thats why my songs sound different.
My sound could be a lot better too cos i can't use many VST
Am still on my Beloved Logic 5.5 PC
So can't use more than 2 GB ram and can't use dual core to the max
Only got 1.8 ghz amd semperon
And after 17 tracks with VSTi it can't even handle eq on every track
So most sounds are even without eq main has eq off course
But you get the best mixes if you eq every single sound on its own first
And a reverb or phaser vst can do wonders too ,but i can't use many
Would love to put Ozone on various sounds
But sometimes i can't even put it on the main as it takes too much cpu then :(
Will try on a friends pc if dual core gives me more cpu power
Ram the program just cant take more then 2gb ,wont even start then
But i know all i need to know about logic
So don't want to go back to cubase used that on my atari
Hooked on Logic for years now i even made a full pictured tutor for logic
So think i sooner build a Hackintosh [pc running mac os and soft]
Then i can get the strongest pc money can buy
And run the newest Apple Logic instead of EMagic Logic
One day perhaps for now its not important enough to buy
The pc one still does all i want only have to limit VST use
As long as i can use every VSTi i'm happy
Gladiator would not work on Logic as normal VSTi ,but Chainer VSTi could load it
So that way i can even use unplayable VSTi's on my logic :D
Updated version improved the mix
And added a bunch of extra melodies to make a nicer storyline
It still gets a bit muddy even in my opinion and i actually like muddiness
I can reduce it a lot by taking some echo away from my main lead
And i could eq the leads more too to give less body
But left em raw to preserve the old mix feeling instead of dry and clear
Oh yeah and i replaced the kick by a new one to keep more punch
Plus eq'ed a lot of base [low] away from the drums
That way the real base got more room to get through
PS
Is there a trick to see what pref topics we replied to ?
Its hard to find back topics to give a 2nd reply now
