Kev Gilles is a radio presenter, DJ and producer from Hawick in the Scottish Borders, who has been DJing for the past 25 years. He currently presents his own weekly radio show 'Big Room' on TD1 Radio every Friday night. He has also gained notoriety for his numerous mashups, many of which have gained significant support on Radio 1 from Judge Jules.
GUESTMIX- DAVEY ASPREY (ENG):
Hailing from a humble background in Walsall, a small town in the West Midlands, Davey began his love affair with music after hearing his mum’s Acid House as a child. In 2005 he landed his first gig at Nailed, in Leicester. Since then he has been gathering friends in high places and now boasts appearances alongside Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Calvin Harris, Gareth Emery, Richard Durand and Eddie Halliwell. In 2008 he made his debut in Ibiza at Judgement Sundays, and since has gone from strength to strength, securing gigs at Cream, Goodgreef, Gatecrasher, Passion and Ministry of Sound London. As well as a high flying DJ, Davey has also been making waves on the production front, with tracks such as 'Mindless', 'The Devil You Know' and 'Ogre' all gaining massive support and have appeared on a number of compilations. If you haven’t heard of Davey Asprey yet, heed Judge Jules’ words and “keep an eye out for this fella!”
