Heard this got cancelled?

We sincerely apologize for the cancellation of today's event. Severe weather, sea conditions, and the slippery surface on the boat created a serious hazard that we could not in good conscience allow the event to go on. Our main priority at all times is to ensure a safe and hazard free experience for our patrons.

For those who purchased tickets you will get a full refund. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. This event will be made up in the near future.

It did. I'm not so pissed about that, but that it ended up costing me $8 for the bridge and $32 for parking and neither will be refunded. *Sigh*

Matt - You could have saved a lot of people a few extra bucks if you made better use of social media and these forums to let us know the party was cancelled.

You constantly promoted a "rain or shine" event - now while I am sure none of us were too upset this was cancelled, a lot of people spent money on trains, subways, taxis, bridges, tolls, parking and gas only to arrive and find out the event was canned. The weather forecast for the day called for 100% rain all day and all night.

Are refunds being automatically generated or do we have to contact someone?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

It was promoted as a rain or shine event due to the contractual agreement we had with them. When a possible chance of lightening is thrown into the mix it is not worth going out on the water for us to be sent back in once or if lightening is spotted putting fellow patrons like yourself at risk. If anything like that would of happen and for the slightest chance a lightening bolt hits the water and shorts out the boat and were stuck at sea, you would be complaining and saying why did Massive Event allow the boat go out due to the impending weather conditions. This is why we chose to cancel it and issue full refunds to everyone who had bought tickets online and through a sub promoter.

In order to get refunded you must contact Wantickets or whomever you purchased a ticket from to get the refund back.
