I was trying to burn a set a couply of days ago and i came back to see that nothing happened, nothing was even burned on the cd. What the is this...I bought my comp 3 years ago and have made about one cd a day since. Is my burner dead now? Do burners "burn" out?
It doesnt even read anything when we put a cd in.. and the ed up part in this is that Windows says it is working properly!
Any opinions?

| Any type of CD reader/writer product has a light inside. But this light is actually a laser, and as we know all lights burn out in time and this is what happened. I think the actual numbers for the lifespan of the laser usally is 16 000hours read time/1600 hours write time. This changes depending whether ur burner is high quality or low quality. |
