Can you guys recommend a really good quality loop pack for making percussion elements for trance/tech-trance tracks? (apart from the Vengeance packs - i have them already!).

Thanks, David.

Hehe the "Demo 3" for the 3rd part of the series was done by yours truly :). The "Loops and fx" one is done by Eelke Kleijn. Don't know who did the first.

The Thomas Penton pack is one of my go-to's for years now. Together with a few other packages a scraped together on the web.

Here's a few more that i've found to be useful...

Found Percussion
Future Percussion
Percussionism
Drum Tools 01-Minimal Techno & Tech House

If that's not working for you, i would advise you look into dedicated software like Battery, Drumaxx, Stylus RMX, Geist or a controller like maschine, spark or an mpc :)

geist is all right, but not satiating enough for me to stop thinking about getting maschine...bought geist about 6 months ago, but going to buy maschine soon. dunno anything about its factory loop content, but geists is 'ok'....i can't say i'm a huge user of loops, but i've definitely found a few in the factory content that are workable in their original state (and a good amount tweak-able)
