Title pretty much says all, will be in NYC visiting from Florida on those nights. I'm looking for some good places to go to.........for reference I really like clubs such as Tresor and Watergate in Berlin. I'm looking for something that's not over the top, 'vegas style' with tables and bottle service everywhere, but a place where the people and DJs are there for the music. An 'underground' vibe if you will. I like the darker, acid like techno/trance, but not super hard, industrial, powernoise stuff. Lame I know, but th best way I know to describe it is 'Berlin' style.
Any suggestions? Of course it doesn't have to be any big name DJs, I just want to find some good venues to enjoy myself!
Thanks in advance and sorry I can't be more explicit with what I'm looking for. |

Personally I'd recommend-
7/7 - Sebastian Leger @ Cielo
7/8 - Xhin @ National Underground
7/9 - Frolic w/ Stacey Pullen @ Central Park
7/10 - Satoshi Tomiie & Demi @ XVI Rooftop |

Perfect recommendations.. I had no clue Sebastien Leger was going to spin at NYC. Why does Cielo always book DJs I want to hear on thursdays? |

| Thanks for that! For those events.......any tickets in advance needed for any of them? or just at door? Is the Central park one free? What's usually the best time to head to these places.....only really know Cielo. Midnight? |

It's not the club that books them, it's Rob Fernandez for his Dance.Here.Now. party. |

I could be wrong but I actually think Sebastian is Cielo itself this time instead of DHN.. Either way I think the club packs in a pretty regular crowd on Fridays and Saturdays so they don't want to spend the money on the international guys those nights.
As for tickets:
Thursdays at Cielo are usually free before midnight but check out CieloClub.com to be sure (def get tickets if not since the door can be crazy later on).
Xhin you can probably just pay at the door (I think it's $10 or $15 off the top of my head?) - I would roll in around 1am or so
Central Park is free so no worries there - not sure what the best time is to go though..
XVI is free before 3pm or $25 reduced until 8pm on the list (email me at info(at)djbradmiller.com for a spot since I'll be playing that one too) or you can get $20 tix at http://bit.ly/Satoickets. I think Demi starts up around 5 or 6pm. |

Brad, thanks a lot man! Sounds GREAT!
So with XVI, when do you have to be in by with the $20 ticket? what's the advantage of the $25 one? When do you suggest getting there/when do you go on?
**Also, do any of you guys now some relaxing coffee shops that have some chill electronic usually streaming? That would be nice as well. |

| The $20 ticket is good all day, the advantage of the list over a ticket is that if you decide not to go you haven't already spent the money though. Set times I'm not 100% sure of, but I do know John Dill and Wiseacre will be opening, followed by Demi, Satoshi, and then me around 11-12pm - 2am. |
