Something new I made, been trying the progressive sound for a while, starting to make some progress.

Pagan - Genie in a Bottle
Richard Butler
Hey haven't seen you here much lately. Very 80's touch this - especially that little regular lead chordy thingy.

Would be benefit from losts of little stutters etc so as to take out of loopy domain. Bass is nice n warm but a little soupy with the kick, so would benefit from some forensic EQ etc.

Anyways, nice to see you back

I've been lurking, just havent been making much music lately. Took a bit of a break to study more music theory(I can never do much until its all sunk in) and I've been practicing techniques instead of trying to compose full pieces.

Strangely, this song originally had a bus for glitching the track but I ended up not using it when I exported to stems, although I still think it does actually need something like that. I also totally agree on the bass being a bit too warm. I've been experimenting a lot with my basses and while I'm making some progress its still a tricky road.

Thanks for the kind words though, means a lot.
