yes there were big line ups everywhere
yes everyone wore white
yes they shut the music off at around 10:30
yes people didn't get in who had tickets in hand
yes to people drugging out
yes to most people wearing shades to cover their drugged up eyes
just another Toronto party
blame a promoter/blame the venue/ someone is always to blame
get there early, don't be stupid, be with good people, and you'll have a good time ... I know I did |

I arrived at the party around 7 and stood in line for over an hour because of a guy who couldn't handle his substances. They made everyone stand in 1 line up, but when they started letting people in they let in everyone that had hard tickets first regardless of their place in line. People that had roll call tickets had to wait for what seemed like forever.
There were a few bars that served beer and redbull but there was only one bar in the back that sold hard liquor. There were no bathrooms just porta potties...which I refuse to use, so I can not comment there.
It was a very Gino crowd. I caught a few glimpses of a fight between a bouncer and a group of girls. The party got shut down 45 min early at 10:15 by the cops because of too many fights/drug related incidents.
$37.00 ticket and $8 drinks for just over 2 hrs of partying...not worth it.
Side note: Something that really grinds my gears...it was a WHITE party...don't wear blue jeans! |

| Heard a few stories bout the event. I think in most recent years, there has been a boost in "promoters" who don't have a full grasp on how to put an event together. Many are too $ hungry or want to create events so they can DJ or whatever other reason. Perhaps a new requirement for a promotional company should be attending an instructional course (safety, liquor laws etc) and become licensed. If the company fails to oblige or have certain issues such as yesterdays, they would be fined or lose their license. Also, event attendees could send in complaints to the "board" and too many could result in penalities. I'm pretty sure that would keep standards in top shape and keep the irresponsible ones out. |

Wasn't pointing fingers... just a general statement about the music scene. People like that dude who wanted to throw a bush party, DJ for 12 hrs, setup some lasers, and not think of the consequences... "Oh everything will be fine... I'm not worried. What are the chances of that happening" Promoters who cut costs to gain profit. |
