True. I'm a fan of Wrongbar but cmon it got equal/more hype than pretty much any of the other venues and it's been around for much less time, capacity is miniature, and although they come up with good bookings here and there it's a fraction of what the others bring in week after week...

Good article for a read nonetheless though.

I read somewhere that the owners are turning it into a 'pub' to fit in with the changing of the area. I haven't been to their other place 'Parts & Labour' yet but I've driven by a few times and it seems to always be packed

i love parts and labour...but definitely not in tune with the scene here

They're opening a new place at 69 Bathurst with Embrace Entertainment and Kenny Hotz (from Kenny vs. Spenny lol)

I was sad to hear about The Social too. They had a lot of good bookings there.

Looks like that strip of Queen W only had a life span of about 7-8 years. Gentrification certainly moved in quick.

I think the closing parties are this weekend.
