I prefer getting my general area's consensus on tracks rather than the entire production forum. So I'm going to post this here.

New tech trance, lemme know what you think!

Sedna - Trakk (Original Mix)

Pretty nice, the bass might be a lil too overpowering.

3:28 drop is....lacking, just sounds kinda weak after the whole build up

Overall pretty sweet track.

I"ll take a proper listen on my monitors later, but so far what I can hear the track is very good. I hear a lot of elements from Vadim Zhukov. I always enjoyed his style. I don't think this track was meant to be a banger and I like it that way. I firmly believe everyone should stop trying to make a banger and concentrate on tracks that are important in the flow of a set. I think this track will fit very well if that is what was intended

Ellipse I couldn't agree more! And thank you both for the kind words =D

Gotta disagree with you somewhat, bud. Nowadays, labels are currently looking for 'club' records. If you make a small fluff progressive record, they won't see much money. Unless it's for a compilation or something along the lines of that.

A track that is for the flow of a set is good, but people want to buy the bangers as well. Labels seek that now. I think that's begun to happen once Arty started to rise.

it also depends on what label you're referring to i suppose. i'd say the a&r for MAJOR distributors such as armada will pass on filler unless it's exceptionally well produced, but mid-tier labels or sublabels of the bigger guys might not. this is, strictly speaking, for new artists looking to land a home.

there's still at least listener appreciation for a good track that isn't necessarily a club track or is good filler, and there's certainly DJ appreciation for it. yeah, it may not sell the most but honestly what IS selling all that much nowadays? :X

granted, i'm very new to music production and only recently landed a home on an established label, so i'm talking completely out of my ass :)
