This set was recorded live at Re:Generate, the name chosen by the Om Reunion Project to set the mood for their summer solstice gathering in 2011. I was scheduled to play on Sunday morning at the Moon Bass stage, a great little setup in a forest clearing on a beautiful piece of land in Southern Ontario. It felt like the right space and time to take a trip into the history of the psychedelic trance subculture so I mixed up a diverse assortment of old school Goa trance classics after sunrise. As always, this set was completely improvised; absolutely nothing was planned prior to stepping on stage to ready my equipment. This musical experience was co-created with a fantastic crowd of people who emerged from the woods to dance with enthusiasm to these old school gems.

As always, we tend to have a fairly similar taste in music, so I'm definitely looking forward to hearing this one. I already love some of these tracks and just hearing them in an interesting order will make it worth it!

So glad there's an FLAC version.

One bump for posterity... I'm a bit surprised this didn't make more waves around TA given the melodic old school focus :)

i listened to it and then i downloaded moonshadow too. will be looking through the rest of your mixes, but hoping for more dragonfly records in your mixes.
this mix in particular did open me up to some new labels and i really appreciated the time and effort you took into putting all the information from each record on your tracklist.
was surprised to hear Green Nuns - Cor! very unique song but fit in nicely along with the intensity throughout the mix as a whole.
will give it another listen before i comment anymore.
:p

I did download this when you first posted it, but it somehow became forgotten. Listening to it now.

i've never been very good at commenting... but I did listen to it again, and i like it twice as much as before. really do love how you worked Green Nuns in there.
thanks for posting this up.

Slipping in some Green Nuns surprised me as well. I tried it out on headphones and it sounded right so I figured, why not? Flipped the script from "epic" to "'avin it" in no time :)

Sweet, been waiting for this since you mentioned it. Some many awesome Goa monsters in here. This mix should be a necessity for new TAs:clown:
