I hate the fact people try to compare it to spinal tap.
In Spinal tap, they were making the joke and knew it, with SHM, they ARE the joke (and not in a wink-wink, tongue in cheek way, as they don't realise it). |

The people making such a comparison (I'm sure) know that. They're finding it funny that SHM are the 'without-irony' version. |
